Goals and Objectives
Pre-Kindergarten (4 year olds)
Cognitive Development
Language/Pre-Reading/Math readiness
· Recognize and print his/her name
· Tracing and writing letters
· Identification of letters in alphabet and the sounds they make
· Phonics and blending sounds together
· Become aware of the days of the week, months and seasons of the year
· Identifying, counting and grouping of numbers 1-10 then 1-20 (and beyond)
· Demonstrate one to one correspondence
· Tracing and writing numbers 1-20
· Classifying sizes, shapes and colors, then sorting and matching
· Increase problem-solving skills through social interaction and games
· Work on grouping, sequencing, matching and patterning
Science/Nature/Social Studies/Art/Music
· Observe cause and effect in the world around him/her
· Nature walks to observe seasonal changes
· Hands-on science activities relating to textures, magnets, temperature and seasons
· Develop an awareness of his/her community and community helpers
· Demonstrate an awareness of family structure and responsibility
· Experience various media in a multitude of ways
· Participate in multi sensory art experiences
· Participate in musical activities including song, dance, instrumental, movement, games and self expression
Physical Development
Fine and Large Motor Skills
· Cut shapes, strips and on lines
· Develop proper hand position while using a pencil, crayon and scissor
· Strengthening hand muscles and control

· Be able to coordinate movements to run, jump, gallop, hop and skip

Spiritual Development
- Be exposed to God’s word through Bible stories and chapel
- Learn, understand and memorize from the Bible
- Recognize all God has provided for us through daily prayers
- Share our daily concerns and pray for each other
- Learn about God’s message from the Bible and the plan of salvation through Jesus Christ for everyone
- Learn to worship God through song, music, praise and prayer
