The Mathematics Department believes the Christian study of mathematics points to the underlying structure of the universe, and is therefore one tool by which we better understand God’s creation. It helps the student conform to the image of God and prepare for Christian servanthood. Students will develop mathematical literacy and an appreciation for mathematics. They will incorporate the use of technology and their god-given reasoning ability in seeking solutions and in recognizing the connection of mathematics to other disciplines. Students will receive developmentally appropriate instruction that will support and challenge them.
