The Foreign Language Department's mission mandated by Jesus is to go to all areas of the world to witness and to share the gospel in order to make disciples for Christ.  A Christian approach to the study of foreign language recognizes the command to equip the student with the language skills that are needed in the foreign missionary field as well as to acclimate students to foreign cultures.  Through a multi-faceted approach to language acquisition that deepens cultural appreciation, enhances critical thinking, and develops language proficiency, these courses promote the use of foreign language both within and beyond the school setting and encourage life-long learning of language.
