Science is the study of God’s creation from the subatomic level to the far-reaches of the universe. Colossians 1:16-17 assures us that Christ is the Creator of the universe and that “in Him all things hold together.” God has created an orderly world, and science works to discover laws that may be used to describe, although not completely explain, phenomena and behavior. Order and reason govern the study of science; the results of scientific experiments are reproducible and ordained by God the Creator. Scientific discoveries help scientists and others exercise dominion over nature for the benefit of mankind, as God commanded in Genesis 1:28.
