Students are to be dropped off and picked up in the carpool loop only unless directed otherwise by the carpool staff. Students are not to be dropped off in the parking lot unescorted. Children are to be picked up by 3:10 in afternoon carpool. Carpool ends at 3:10 and remaining students will be taken to Extended Care.

Please Note:

• It is important to display the child’s last name and teacher’s name for each child you are picking up as you round the upper corner of the loop. Teachers and carpool staff can quickly locate each child and have them ready to load for you.
• The yellow lined area along the sidewalk in the pick-up area is for pedestrians. Please keep this area clear of vehicles at all times.
• If you want to park and walk up to meet your child please do not park in the first parking bay where the carpool line forms for grades 1-5 or in the Valley Christian Preschool parking lot.
• Please wait outside the front doors of the school building for your child to exit. Uncongested halls are necessary for other programs of the school to run smoothly and safely.
• If you park in the upper parking lot, you must remove your vehicle by 2:30 p.m. or wait until carpool is over. Please be cautious of students and parents who are walking in the parking lot.
• Students, whose siblings attend VCJR/SR, are not permitted to leave the elementary campus without adult accompaniment.

Your cooperation in these safety measures will be appreciated. We want things to operate smoothly and safely. PLEASE DRIVE WITH UTMOST CAUTION IN THE SCHOOL AREA!
