Spanish I, Spanish II and ELL T | Junior High and High Schools
Valley Christian is seeking a Spanish I, Spanish II and ELL teacher for our Junior High and High Schools. The ideal candidate is responsible to have a broad scope of the Spanish language and culture; be able to develop students from basic vocabulary, grammar, tenses and conjugations to informal and formal conversation; and be able to acquaint students with Spanish speaking cultures as well as, preparing students to share their Christian faith with various Hispanic civilizations.
Valley Christian is also looking for someone who possesses the ability to teach English Language Learners; helping students make a successful transition to mainstream classes. The ideal candidate may be required to develop curriculum necessary for students to evolve from learning basic vocabulary through to daily interaction within the American culture.
Superintendent of Schools
Valley Christian is seeking a Superintendent to oversee all aspects of all of the schools. More specifically, this position is required to oversee the recruitment and retention of all school staff, and has ultimate supervisory responsibilities of the staff. All development and maintenance of the financial responsibilities for the schools, including all budget oversight and development and implementation of new budget objectives within the schools fall to this position. This position is responsible for all identification, implementation, maintenance and oversight of the aspects of educational leadership, including philosophy, curriculum development, administrative infrastructure and strong relationship building with all of the constituents of the schools, including but not limited to the School Board of VCS, the Deacon Board of VCC, students, parents, teachers, and any and constituencies which are known and unknown in the Tri-Valley community that VCC serves. This position is responsible for all oversight and administration of all compliance issues within the schools, and is expected to supervise the building and grounds of VCS and transportation and student safety.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s, Masters or Ph.D. in Education and will preferably be ordained as a Pastor of the AG. This person will need to provide a covering for the schools’ that is based in experience and wisdom. As such, this person will preferably have previous experience as a superintendent and understand the dynamics that run between all of the schools’ and the developmental process of the students each school works with. The strong candidate will build strong relationships while working to change the status quo, and even raise the schools to a new standard through spiritual and leadership expertise. This person will not be afraid to roll-up his/her sleeves and get to work with the staff of the schools, while remaining knowledgeable of the programs that the church is implementing and remaining poised to integrate those same concepts into the schools as appropriate.
